In 1892, a wealthy family was murdered ruthlessly with an ax in their own house. Lizzie Borden, their 32-year old daughter, was the only survivor and hence the prime suspect.
She gave inconsistent statements to the police and also started burning old clothes.
For the lack of concrete evidence, no one ever found out the truth behind the Borden murders.
Yet, Lizzie Borden became a subject of mockery and disgust in her town as she was called out for the heartless murders.
