#13 The Paintings of the Boston Heist
On March 18, 1990, two men disguised as police officers entered the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum at night.
They stole thirteen paintings made by famous artists like Vermeer, Rembrandt, and Flink.
These thieves were never found, and no one ever understood why these particular paintings were stolen.
Years later, the museum announced a prize of $10 million for anyone who helped recover these paintings.
To date, the theft of these paintings remains an unsolved mystery.
