The KGC was a society of wealthy loyalists who gained prominence before the Civil War. The members of the Knights of the Golden Circle were believed to have weapons and gold in abundance.

While several events such as Lincoln’s assassination were pinned on the KGC, they seem to have disappeared right after. Many say that they went into hiding along with their treasures.
