15. A Very Capable Captain
It’s often said that one can figure out if a Captain is actually worthy of his rank by the manner in which he handles an unforeseen situation. Although the Mission Commander Jim Lovell was a seasoned astronaut, even he could not have foreseen that every decision he made on behalf of the crew was a thin line between life and death.
Commander Lovell already had clocked a total of 572 hours in space and he had also been apart of the Apollo 8 mission which had circled the moon.
