#25 Red Sea Urchin
Here is another resident of the Pacific Ocean- the Red Sea Urchin. People often believe Red Sea Urchins to be next to immortal with their long lives of 200 years with no visible aging.
Red Sea Urchins have a greater probability of dying as prey than due to aging.
Most of them live comfortably till the age of 100 years.
The most interesting part about them is their lack of aging. A 100-year old Red Sea Urchin is usually as healthy as one that’s a few years old.
Scientists are able to find out their age through the measurement of carbon-14 levels.
