#11 American Lobster
American Lobsters have an unsurprisingly long span of life. They can comfortably live for an entire century, though it is challenging to determine their exact age.
American Lobsters leave no evidence of age or any signs of aging when they molt, which makes determination difficult.
They dwell along the Atlantic coast of North America, primarily from Labrador till New Jersey.
While certainly being the longest living species of lobster, the American Lobster is also the heaviest crustacean and arthropod on the planet.
It has a mass of more than 44 lbs. These lobsters are a popular choice of seafood among Americans.
