15. Was a Female Catshark
When Antonello Mulas, lead author of this research, and his team of experts took a closer look at this bizarre wonder, they found that it was a female blackmouth catshark. And since it already had a pretty crazy deformity, you would think that may have affected its reproductive ability…but that’s not the case!
When the research team studied her reproductive organs, they found out that she had a completely normal set of gonads. So had she not got caught in the fishing net and was swimming in the oceans, perhaps she would’ve given birth to more such skinless sharks!
