5. They Probably Won’t Survive Contact With Us
In the year 1992, the Government of India took an important decision to ban anyone from going near the island on their own, unless it was with proper sanctioned authorization. The reasons for this decision were two-fold – one was because the tribe is unlikely to have any resistance to diseases and illnesses which means that they are likely to die should they catch anything.
The wipe-out of this ancient tribe all at once would be tragic indeed. The second reason is for the protection of the foreigners themselves, as the natives are more likely to kill them without a warning than welcome them.
