18. The Indian Government Has Tried Contacting Them
It’s quite remarkable that the Indian Government has never cut any corners when it comes to protecting the tiny island with its hostile natives. Not only does the Indian Navy protect the waters to ensure that there are no attempts by individuals or other nations to reach the island without permission but they have also tried on multiple occasions to reach out to the natives.
In 1967, the government tried to approach the tribals and were rebuffed. In 1991 however, the Indian Government tried making contact with them again and this time took a bunch of coconuts along.
