16. National Geographic Visited The Island Too
In the year 1974, a small team from Nat Geo visited the island and received a very hostile welcome (they were shot at with arrows). The tribals have been watching them for some time and as soon as they landed, rushed out with their weapons. Rumour says that one of the said arrows hit the director in his thigh!
The team wasn’t alone of course as they were accompanied by anthropologists and even a few policemen. Their intentions were honourable as they only wanted to document the lives of the natives, but they had to literally run for their lives.
