#11 Natural Sugar Is Healthier Than Added Sugar
Sugar is demonised for various health-related risks like diabetes and heart diseases. And whatever good is there in sugar is slashed by advertisements sponsored by “organic food” companies. But, is organic sugar healthier than added sugar? Well, not really.
According to endocrinologists, natural sugar and added sugar aren’t very different in their compositions. However, what really makes the difference is the concentration of sugars in various foods.
Natural sugar present in fruits and vegetables is far less concentrated than added sugar. Besides, there are other nutrients like fibre accompanied with natural sugar that slows down its absorption rate. However, such a factor is missing in products having added sugar which makes them a bad choice for us.
