4. Depression Affects Women More Than Men
Women have been proven to experience depression at least 70% more than men and one reason could be the big difference in hormones. The reasons behind depression in women are partly in reason due to the number of roles that women tend to take up and the stress of juggling a myriad of responsibilities all together.
The likelihood of depression occurring when boys and girls were studied is also an eye-opener. After puberty, a girl is at a much higher risk of getting depressionthan a boy of the same age. Changes in physical features and other biologicalchanges is one reason why girls are at a higher risk of depression. Patients who already have clinical depression may suffer bad attacks just before menstruation.
