Depression has been proven to change the body physically too. For example, it may change aperson’s natural speech patterns and some people who suffer from chronicdepression may experience body aches in different places in the body. The quality and volume of the matter that connects neurons in the brain was shown to have greatly reduced in patients who reported that they were experiencing symptoms associated with depression.
