19. Exercise Can Help Improve Depression
In order to treat mild depression, therapists may suggest lifestyle changes and that includes sticking to a regular exercise routine every day. However, studies show that the number of benefits associated with a regular workout are many and works wonders in improving one’s state of mind. When a person works out, the body releases a host of ‘happy hormones’ which work as an instant mood uplifter.
People who suffer from depression would do well to aim for a minimum of 30 minutes of exercise every day. Working out also makes the body feel more relaxed and studies show that people who work out regularly also have better sleep patterns than those who don’t follow any kind of exercise regime.
