16. Depressed People Make Bad Decisions
It’s nosurprise that people who are depressed make bad decisions because quite often,they simply ‘cannot think straight’. Science has proven that people who sufferfrom depression have a different brain structure from those who are normal. Inaddition; the said structures, neural links, and brain circuits work in adifferent manner when a person is depressed.
Closerinspection of the brain scan of a person suffering from depression shows thatthere is clear abnormality in the grey matter and in some cases the brain hasvisibly shrunk too. An enlarged amygdala can cause disturbances in the body’snatural sleep rhythm. Irregular amount of hormones may also be released intothe blood causing more complications.
