Many patients who suffer from DID may zone out in a dream world often and may think of the real world as too “mechanical” or “normal”. They can easily ignore everything around or daydream which makes them distant from the real world and people.
“Mild sensations of this disorder are sometimes felt by normal individuals under severe stress, as a side effect of medications or as a result of intoxication,” said Mae Casanova, PsyD, told Bustle.
