19. The Notorious Broom
Another superstition attached to brooms is that they are one of the riskiest household objects. Why? Well, the answer is pretty basic and somewhat practical.
People in Spain believe that if you move into a new house, you should (for obvious reasons) get yourself a new broom. The rationale behind this thought is that the old broom brings along with it all the bad spirits of the previous home, which may disturb the environment of the new house.
Another version of the “broom over your feet” superstition suggests that a woman who is not good with a broom will not be a good homemaker.
So now you know what’s the most important criteria to make a relationship work. Get a good broom!
