You might have used this method right before an important test, turning your note cards around and recalling the information on them. If you get it wrong then no worries, just try again until you’ve memorised exactly what’s on the note cards. The information can either be said aloud or written down; whichever you find easier.
Being ‘blind’ to the written information and quizzing yourself is like making your brain jump into the deep end, testing it until it sticks. It’s important again with this technique to give your brain breaks so that it can naturally sort the data.
