“Twinkle, twinkle little star, How I wonder what you are.” A song many of us learnt at school was easy to remember because of the way it rhymes.

Reading poetry or singing along to our favourite songs is all rhyme that triggers our memory; which is why we know our favourite songs off by heart. In fact, learning and reading poetry is a fantastic mental exercise for flexing our memory muscles.
