#3 The Roman Palace
The Roman Palace is an ancient technique that can turn anyone into superhuman memory champions. If you think of your home, chances are you can recall the layout of it, starting at the entrance. You might remember the colour of the walls or the shape of the windows.
The Roman Palace utilizes the concept of pegs again, where if you have a long list of names, dates or other things to remember, you simply peg these with an item that you remember entering your home. You don’t need to use your home, you could use other places that you remember well such as your office, gym, park or local supermarket.
It’s important to make each item as distinctive as possible, even if it’s quite crazy. As we mentioned before, the crazier the better for memorising things.
