#28 Carrots Can’t Strengthen Your Eyes
We all grew up listening to grandma stories, where sometimes, carrots were hailed as heroes for the eyes. Carrots are beta-carotene rich vegetables that have many health benefits. However, the myth attached to its effect on the eyesight is indeed a myth.
The only ingredient that a carrot has that promotes eyesight is Vitamin A, but that’s not all that one needs to pamper one’s vision.
On the contrary, for a healthy eye, you must add oily fish and green veggies to your staple diet. They contain zeaxanthin, lutein and meso-zeaxanthin which work best for protecting the eye mechanisms.
