Exercise is a very important part of the healthy upbringing of a pet especially dogs. They need to be able to roam, play, run, roll and chase things around to keep those energies high and the fat low.

It may be easier to let the dog be in the house to avoid it and the house from getting dirty, or it could be that some owners are just fearful that their dog could get lost, whatever the reason, ideally nothing should stop a pet from going out.

Cooped-up pets are unhappy pets, and unhappy pets don’t live too long.
