30. The Space Station Travels Far Each Day
Each day, the Space Station travels the same distance as the earth to the moon. That’s nearly 239,000 miles.
Over the course of a day, the space station will travel over 90% of the earth’s population. The ISS has taken million of photos from space creating pictures of cities, forests, landscapes, oceans, and much more.
You might even be able to find your own town or city when searching NASA’s massive archive of photos. They’re free and HD. Isn’t that great?
