28. Living Onboard the ISS is Expensive
Living on the ISS isn’t cheap. It costs $22,500 per day to use life support systems, including life support, toilet, food, air, and medical supplies.
Just to be onboard costs $11,250 per day. Even power is $42 per kilowatt compared to $0.13 on earth.
But N.A.S.A has now opened the space station to commercial use. So if you have an extra $40,000 or so per day, then you might be able to reserve a night’s stay. Of course, that doesn’t include the cost of getting up there!
