#18 The Mouth Produces More Than A Liter Of Saliva Each Day
A human body has various weird yet essential functions to do. The salivary glands are one of the most active glands that produce a clear, slippery liquid called saliva. They are present inside the cheeks, under the tongue and around the inner jaws.
These salivary glands churn out 1 to 2 litres (about 2 to 4 pints) of saliva every day. The saliva is produced more while eating and less while you’re sleeping. It keeps your mouth hydrated and it even helps in fighting oral infections in the mouth.
