19. Gravity Slows Down Time

Through his special theory of relativity, Albert Einstein proved that time runs slower the closer you are to a source of gravity. Remember that scene in the movie ‘Interstellar’, where Anne Hathaway spend s 1 hour on Miller’s planet was equal to 7 years back on earth? That’s not fiction,  it’s a fact. 

What does this mean for us? It means that the people who take flights (being away from the Earth’s core vis a vis people on the surface), might age by a few nanoseconds more than people who spend all their time on land.
