9. Time Seems To Go Faster With Age
Why is it that our school summer holidays seemed like they went on forever, while the weeks whizz past us in the blink of an eye as we grow older? Scientists say it could be because of something called the ‘Oddball Effect’.
According to this theory, time seems to pass slowly when we are learning about new things. However, as more and more things become familiar to us, we are able to process information related to them quicker than before – and this causes a perception of time speeding up.
