Diseases That Modern Medicine Still Can’t Cure

Avian Flu

#21 Avian Flu

Avian flu is caused by a virus that mainly affects birds, but can also infect humans that are in close contact with sick birds. It can transmit also from human to human and can be quite fatal!

The symptoms start showing up 2 to 8 days after infection and include fever, cough, shortness of breath, muscle aches, and coughing. Avian flu has no specific cure, and can lead to death in some cases. But the risk of that reduces if certain antiviral medicines are taken within 2 days of symptoms.
