Diseases That Modern Medicine Still Can’t Cure

Morgellons Disease

#19 Morgellons Disease

This is a rare and controversial disorder that has not been fully understood by doctors. It involves skin lesions, sores and fatigue. But more mysteriously, the patient describes that there are fibers, strings, or glass crawling under and coming out of their skin and sores.

When doctors send for tests to check for bacterial or other infections, they come out negative. Which has led to some doctors categorizing it as a mental disorder. In some studies, patients have responded to antipsychotic medicines. But there is still no definite treatment for it.
