8. Modified His Name With Time
Sometimes, authors decide to write under different names, or even modify their names when signing their books – and Nostradamus did something like that too! Over the years, he observed that the trend of publishing almanacs was growing more and more popular. Almanacs are books that are published annually and contain important information about the present and future events.
Nostradamus noticed this and decided to publish his own almanacs in 1550. When thinking about what to publish in the book under his author name, he decided to latinize his name from Nostradame to Nostradamus. We don’t really why he did it – perhaps it was to add a certain air of authority to his predictions? Whatever be the reason, it seemed to have worked!
