1. Whale Meat Is A Delicacy
Whale meat is a protein not quite enjoyed for its delicate taste or texture but rather for its gamey-ness.
Since whales are mammals and not fish, their meat tastes close to that of beef or venison. The Inuit in Canada and Greenland, The Chukchi people of Siberia, and a few indigenous tribes of the South Pacific Islands and the US are some minorities that continue consuming whale meat and fat.
On a larger scale, countries such as Japan, Iceland, and Norway continue to popularly consume whale meat, driving whalers to the extent of over whaling.
