9. Whaling Is A Death Knoll For The Whale Population
It has been established that whale deaths are a certainty when it comes to the whaling industry, yet, it can be difficult to surmise the extent of it.
To put a picture out there, approximately 16,000 whales have been killed for 83 years consecutively. That amounts to more than 13 million whales killed by commercial whaling, and the number increases with each day.
Unfortunately, since whales travel far in the ocean, they cross international water borders and may jump from a country that protects them to another that hunts, making conservation a difficult task for many.
