25. The Moon Has a Dark Side
There always seems to be a part of the moon that’s permanently hidden from our line of view thus giving rise to the myth that the moon has a ‘dark’ side. The reason for this however is because the Moon is tidally locked and also because the Moon spins on its axis as it simultaneously orbits the Earth.
However, the Moon takes a full 27 days to complete one revolution around the Earth and ironically, the Moon as a whole gets as much sunlight as the visible side which we can see from Earth.
