Corn is an ingredient that is used so commonly in processed food that we simply don’t bat our eyelids anymore. It is used to thicken canned soups, is ground into a powder and used as a flavoring agent, and is even used to bind the meat together in a hamburger. High fructose corn syrup is added to a number of products and gives you so many empty calories. Besides that, it spikes up blood sugar levels unnaturally and that’s unhealthy too.
